On October 19, 2018, Clinic Director Wendy Jacobs participated in a panel discussion at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH) Forum, Conflicts Over Science and Policy at the EPA:  Where Are We Headed?

The panel discussion looked at the status of evidence-based environmental policy in the U.S., and provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing environmental science today. Panelists explored areas potentially or already impacted by change, and described how the EPA and other agencies are responding and will share ideas for steps forward to nurture and protect the principles of peer-reviewed environment science.

The panel also featured Gina McCarthy, Professor of the Practice of Public Health at HSPH and the 13th Administrator of EPA; William Ruckelshaus, Strategic Director, Madrona Venture Group, and First and Fifth Administrator of EPA; and Tom Udall, U.S. Senator, New Mexico.  The discussion was moderated by Carolyn Beeler, Environment Reporter for PRI’s The World and was jointly presented with WGBH.

More information on the panel discussion is available at the HSPH Forum website.
