27th Annual Robert M. Cover Retreat: Lawyering for Civil Rights in the 21st Century
The Robert M. Cover Retreat brings together law students, academics and practitioners committed to public interest to share their experiences, network and reinvigorate their commitment to this important work. The weekend is filled with exciting discussions and interesting topics, but it is also a weekend to relax and enjoy some time away from the law school environment.
When: February 28 – March 2, 2014
Where: Sargent Center, Peterborough, HN
Cost: $ 160 (Includes retreat fees, lodging, and all meals)
Harvard Law School may have funding available to cover the registration fee.
Travel and Carpool: If you have travel questions, please contact Ben Smilowitz (smilowitzlaw@gmail.com). If you want a carpool arranged, you should also check with Ben before booking flights or trains to confirm that you are arriving early enough on Friday or departing late enough on Sunday to get rides to and from the Retreat site.
– Carpools can only be arranged for arrival before and departure after specific times – Please check with Ben before booking
- Plane: Students can fly to Manchester (MHT), Boston (BOS) or Hartford (BDL). Students will get help finding carpools from these airports.
- Train: Students can take trains to Hartford or Springfield and join carpools from either location.
- Car: It is expected that multi-school carpools will depart from NYC, Hartford, Springfield, and Boston. Possibly DC, too.
Students should aim to arrive at the Retreat Site between 4:00-5:30PM on Friday, February 28th. The Retreat will end at 12PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
