Board of State Examiners of Electricians<\/em>. \u00a0In this case, the Clinic is representing general contractors whose ability to continue contracting for and supervising rooftop solar photovoltaic installations has been threatened by a decision of the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians that would give electricians a monopoly over all aspects of solar PV work. \u00a0The plaintiffs are challenging the Board&#8217;s action as being inconsistent with the electrical licensing statute and a <em>de facto<\/em> regulation improperly adopted without notice and comment. \u00a0The opposition to the motion to dismiss was argued by Clinic student Nicholas McDaniel (JD &#8217;11).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Superior Court Justice Janet Sanders today denied the defendant&#8217;s motion to dismiss in the case Carroll v.
