{"id":5586,"date":"2019-09-27T20:34:30","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T20:34:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/clinics.law.harvard.edu\/environment\/?p=5586"},"modified":"2022-02-28T19:08:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T19:08:28","slug":"deputy-director-shaun-goho-presents-at-citizen-science-webinars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clinics.law.harvard.edu\/environment\/2019\/09\/27\/deputy-director-shaun-goho-presents-at-citizen-science-webinars\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputy Director Shaun Goho Presents at Citizen Science Webinars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>September 27 \u2013 Today, Deputy Director Shaun Goho participated in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/citizenscience.member365.com\/public\/event\/details\/28b88d82dd8bae4dc75c7b3014060879a87b6a76\/1\">Introducing the CSA Law and Policy Working Group and its new Legal Question Submission Tool<\/a> webinar, which was presented by the Citizen Science Association (CSA).\u00a0 The webinar announced the creation of a tool through which the citizen scientist community can submit questions about relevant laws and policies raised by citizen science projects; the Clinic is volunteering to make its Clinic students available to answer such questions.\u00a0 A link to the question submission form is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizenscience.org\/get-involved\/working-groups\/law-policy-working-group\/ask-a-legal-question\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar also introduced the CSA\u2019s new Law and Policy Working Group, which was established to foster discussion of both laws and policies that shape citizen science and the ways that citizen science can be used to influence law and policy.\u00a0 Shaun is a Co-Chair of this Working Group, along with fellow presenter, George\u00a0Wyeth, Visiting Scholar at the Environmental Law Institute.\u00a0 The webinar was moderated by Dr. Lea Shanley, Senior Fellow, Nelson Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison;
