The New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice is a non-profit
\norganization dedicated to organizing workers across race and industry
\nto build the power and participation of workers and communities.\u00a0 The
\nAlliance of Guestworkers for Dignity, an organizing project of the
\nWorkers’ Center, led a campaign to support trafficked guestworkers in
\nTennessee in their assertion of their rights in 2010.\u00a0\u00a0 The Workers’
\nCenter is now currently in the midst of litigation following the
\ncampaign and is searching for Spanish-speaking volunteers to help
\nconclude the first round of discovery in the case.<\/p>\n
Volunteers would conduct short fact-checking interviews with workers or\/and
\napproximately one-hour client phone interviews using pre-
\ndrafted questions to collect the necessary information.\u00a0 All
\ninterviews must be conducted in Spanish.\u00a0 If possible, volunteers
\nwould also translate to English the information collected.<\/p>\n
