As one of Harvard Law School’s legal service programs, the Transactional Law Clinics are an innovative resource providing individuals and organizations access to sophisticated, expert legal counsel for help with projects and problems.
We offer legal assistance in the following areas:
- Business matters, including business formations, investments, sales and purchases, contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Nonprofit organization work, including formation, application for tax exempt status, and governance
- Real estate issues, including purchases and sales of residences, condominium formation and governance, commercial leasing, zoning compliance and development of affordable housing
Through our Community Enterprise Project, we offer legal assistance aimed at economic development in low opportunity communities.
Through our Recording Artists Project, we offer legal assistance in music, arts and entertainment law, including representation of musicians, artists, writers, producers, managers, and publishers.
Through our seminar series, we frequently offer seminars and presentations to the community. These have included presentations on ‘Purchasing Your First Home’ and ‘Condominium Governance’, and seminars to community groups on ‘Tax Exempt Organization Basics’ and ‘Commercial Leasing.’ We welcome suggestions and invitations for future presentations.
