TLC Instructors supervise, guide, and train law students in practice and advise, counsel, and represent clients with legal problems on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Director<\/strong><\/p> Noel Roycroft is TLC\u2019s Director. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Law with Harvard Law School. She joined the Transactional Law Clinics as a Clinical Instructor in 2018.\u00a0 Before coming to Harvard, Noel was an associate in the corporate department of Ropes & Gray, LLP and a member of the firm\u2019s asset management group where she focused her practice on representing investment products, their boards, and managers in transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. Noel was also previously a fellow and associate counsel with the national office of the Lawyers\u2019 Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Prior to gaining her law degree, Noel worked in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she was Chief of Staff to a Committee Chair and State Representative, and worked in various non-profit positions, including in fundraising and development. Noel received her B.A. from Bowdoin College, graduate certificate in non-profit management from Northeastern University, and J.D. from American University\u2019s Washington College of Law.<\/p><\/div> Deputy Director, and<\/strong> Clinical Instructor<\/strong><\/p> Erin joined the Transactional Law Clinics as a Clinical Instructor in the Fall of 2024. Before coming to Harvard, Erin worked as an entertainment lawyer at The Walt Disney Company and Netflix, where she negotiated deals and drafted agreements for rightsholders, writers, directors, producers, performers, and other talent for scripted television series. She also previously practiced transactional law as a corporate associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, specializing in M&A and investment fund transactions. Prior to her legal career, Erin was a sixth-grade teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District through Teach For America and an English teacher for the Seoul public school system. Erin received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and J.D. from Stanford Law School.<\/p><\/div> Clinical Instructor<\/strong><\/p> Nick joined the Transactional Law Clinics as a Clinical Instructor in the Winter of 2025. Prior to coming to Harvard, Nick managed the business and legal affairs of three international television production companies based in London where he negotiated deals and drafted agreements for all aspects of television production and distribution. He was previously a partner at Hansen Jacobson, et. al., a boutique entertainment talent law firm based in Beverly Hills, where he negotiated deals and drafted agreements for production companies, rightsholders, writers, directors, producers, performers, and other talent in the film and television industries. Nick previously practiced media distribution law as an associate at Covington & Burling LLP and Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Los Angeles where he specialized in television and new media distribution agreements for programming networks and sports leagues. He also previously practiced corporate transactional law in Silicon Valley as an associate for Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, specializing in private and public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate representation for technology companies. Nick received his B.A. from Duke University and J.D. from Stanford Law School.<\/p><\/div> Clinical Instructor<\/strong><\/p> Mike joined TLC as a Clinical Instructor in Fall of 2026. Mike is a founding partner at a boutique law firm for startups, social ventures, and small businesses. He came to that practice after cofounding a software company, serving as COO and General Counsel. Prior to that, Mike was a litigator and policy advocate in the civil rights and poverty law space, working at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in Boston, New Hampshire Legal Assistance, and the ACLU’s Drug Law Reform Project.\u00a0 Mike is also the supervising attorney of the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project (HLEP). Clinical Instructor<\/strong><\/p> Justen joined the Transactional Law Clinics as a Clinical Instructor and the Supervising Attorney of the Recording Artists Project (RAP) in the Fall of 2026.<\/p> Director; 2009-2024<\/strong><\/p> Brian Price joined\u00a0Harvard Law School<\/a>\u00a0in 1997 as Senior Clinical Instructor of the Community Enterprise Project at the\u00a0WilmerHale Legal Services Center<\/a>\u00a0in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Program Administrator<\/strong><\/p> Alexander Horn joined the Transactional Law Clinics of Harvard Law School in 2013, as the Program Administrator for the Clinic, and a Faculty Assistant to Professor Brian Price. Alexander supports the legal and academic work of the Clinic\u2019s attorneys and enrolled students, who provide free and low-cost legal services to clients in the metropolitan Boston Area. Mike majored in Political and Social Thought at the University of Virginia and got his law degree at the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the Journal of Race and Law.

Justen Barks<\/h2>
Prior to joining Harvard, was the founding Director of the University of Houston Law Center’s Entertainment Law Clinic, where he taught and mentored students in advanced entertainment and intellectual property topics, including small claims representation before the Copyright Claims Board. Before founding the Entertainment Law Clinic, Justen taught a course on entertainment law for the University of Houston Law Center from 2014 until 2023. Justen is the founder of a boutique entertainment and intellectual property law firm in Houston, Texas, where he represents clients from start-ups to award-winning recording artists in transactions and litigation involving copyright, trademark, and right of publicity law in the music, film, visual art, technology, and literary industries.\u00a0<\/p>
Justen received his B.B.A. in Music Business and Entertainment Industry Management from Belmont University, and J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where graduated Order of the Barristers and was the Chief Managing Editor of the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law.\u00a0

Brian K. Price<\/h2>
He was appointed Director of the WilmerHale Legal Services Center in July 2006 and appointed Clinical Professor of Law in November 2007. In July 2009 Brian became Director of the\u00a0Transactional Law Clinics<\/a>. Brian also serves as Faculty Advisor for the\u00a0Recording Artists Project<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project<\/a>, student organizations at Harvard Law School.<\/p>
Before coming to Harvard, Brian was General Counsel and Senior Director of Certification and Enforcement at the Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance within the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development. Brian was previously \u00a0Assistant Counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Brian has worked as a sole practitioner in his own community-based law practice specializing in general business, corporate, entertainment, real estate, and non-profit law. He received his B. A. from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.<\/p>
