Summer Immigration Law Internship on the U.S.-Mexico Border

Las Americas is looking for law students who are bright, eager and dedicated to community service.

These clerkships/internships emphasize hands-on learning. At Las Americas, you will learn about immigration law while making a direct impact in peoples lives.

As a clerk/intern, and under the supervision of an experienced immigration attorney, you will perform the following tasks: legal research, brief and memorandum writing, visiting and interviewing detainees, clients intake, filing of immigration forms (for U Visas, VAWA, asylum and more), assisting in trial preparation, translating (if applicable).
