On June 5, 2012, Environmental Law & Policy Clinic student Christopher Rendall-Jackson presented oral argument on a motion for summary judgment in Suffolk Superior Court in Carroll v. Board of State Examiners of Electricians.  Chris is the fourth Clinic student to argue a motion in this litigation, following Thomas Brugato (JD ’11), Nicholas McDaniel (JD ’11), and Devin O’Connor (JD ’12).  In this case, the Clinic has filed suit on behalf of six plaintiffs to challenge the Board of State Examiners of Electricians’s decision that general contractors may not contract for or oversee rooftop solar photovoltaic installations.  In particular, the plaintiffs have alleged that the Board’s action is inconsistent with the electrical licensing statute as well as de facto regulation improperly adopted without notice and comment.
